March Is B Corp Month... B Corp Explained

March Is B Corp Month... What Is a B Corp?

March is B Corp Month and WBS is B Corp™ Certified

What does this mean? This certification identifies us as a company with high standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability.

B Corp Certification is a highly selective status. When companies want to become a Certified B Corp, they must document their positive impact to qualify and undergo verification every three years to maintain their Certification.

It was team-work that made this certification a reality for WBS and we're very excited to be a part of this community of other corporations who ultimately want to do good and be good.

  • There are over 2,500 Certified B Corporations from more than 130 industries and 60 countries with 1 unifying goal: to redefine success in business.
  • B Corps are leaders of a global movement of people using business as a force for good™.
  • The Certification process uses credible, comprehensive, transparent, and independent standards of social and environmental performance.
  • The B Corp assessment process measures a company’s performance in five categories: governance, workers, customers, community, and the environment.

March is B Corp Month and this month's theme is Better Business. This month, WBS will be joining a global community of more than 2,500 businesses to celebrate what it means to be a Certified B Corporation. If you’ve ever seen us wearing the B Corp badge in any of our materials, emails, or website, and wondered what it’s all about, now’s the time to find out. We're proud to be a #BetterBusiness.

Certified B Corporations are for-profit companies that use the power of business to build a more inclusive and sustainable economy. They meet the highest verified standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.

Accountable For the Future

We are all responsible for each other and for future generations with the choices we make. As a Certified B Corporation we’re not just responsible, we’re also held accountable.
